Hello,

      I am Kyleigh Blackmer, I am 24 years of age, and I am currently attending Ball State University to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education. I went to Ivy Tech for 2 years, and I graduated with my Associate's degree in the Spring of 2018. I want to be able to mold each child’s mind to enhance their education. I am the type of teacher to have fun with the children while they are trying to learn the material. I want to make school fun for children so they do not dread school for the rest of their lives. Education is very important to young children, and the right teacher needs to help shape and mold young minds to understand the concept of learning and play. I babysit in my free time, and I helped in a kindergarten classroom at Wes-Del Elementary. I help my little sister with her homework from kindergarten so she fully grasps learning how to read. I have a passion for children and will continue to work with little minds. I used to work at a daycare in Yorktown, Indiana and have worked with school-aged children and younger. I currently work at Yorktown Elementary School, and I coach the high school cross country girls team. Every child is creative, and I want their knowledge to challenge me to better myself to get the different kinds of experience in education. Most importantly I love making memories with everyone I teach and coach.
